CMHA Toronto provides people who are on CTOs with intensive case management services. CMHA works closely with the client, the CTO Coordinators, the client's treatment team and other supports to develop a support plan for the client while in the community. Assistance is provided to meet basic needs, develop skills, access mental and physical health supports, and other community resources.

Community Treatment Orders are initiated by physicians. Assistance to develop the CTO and the Community Treatment Plans is provided by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health's (CAMH's) CTO Coordination Team. Referrals for CMHA Toronto's CTO Case Management Services are accepted from CAMH CTO Coordinators and physicians.
