One in five of us will experience a mental illness at some
time in our life.
Still there are many misconceptions about mental illness.
This full-day interactive workshop promotes awareness and
understanding of Schizophrenia, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders,
and Personality Disorders.
Half-day workshops can be tailored to focus on specific disorders.
Participants will learn:
- The signs and symptoms of mental illness
- What treatment options are available
- Strategies for relating to and providing support to someone
experiencing the symptoms of a mental illness
- How to access mental health services in Toronto.
This workshop features a personal experience speaker who
talks openly and candidly about what it is like to live with
a mental illness.
