Thank you for your interest in serving on CMHA Toronto’s volunteer Board of Directors. Please read the information on this page and the information in the below board nomination form. The Board Development Committee (BDC) of the Board of Directors is responsible for Board recruitment.
To ensure the Board of Directors has the breadth of experience and expertise required to oversee an organization of the size and complexity of CMHA Toronto, the Board has identified that new members with senior-level skills in accounting/finance, human resources, philanthropy, and quality improvement are needed (especially those in a health care setting). Having lived or living experience of mental health challenges and/or addictions is always considered an asset for being on our Board of Directors.
The CMHA Toronto Board of Directors actively works to ensure that our Board members reflect the diversity of the community we serve. As a result, we’re reaching out to communities and individuals who have traditionally been underrepresented on boards of directors, including, but not limited to, people who are racialized, people with disabilities, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people, people of all sexual orientations and genders, and others who may contribute to the diversity of our Board.
If you or someone you know is interested in supporting CMHA Toronto by being on our volunteer Board of Directors, please e-mail board@cmhato.org.
