A leader in mental health in Canada, Steve Lurie retired from the Canadian Mental Health Association Toronto Branch in October 2020, after 41 years as executive director. For over four decades, Steve has been a tireless advocate for improving the lives of people with mental health and addictions issues and has made significant contributions to positively shaping the mental health care system.
In the 11-part series, A Conversation with Steve Lurie, CMHA Toronto sat down with Steve to learn about his experiences in the community mental health sector and how we can continue to build a safe and effective mental health care system for all. We thank Steve for his visionary work and for coaching the next generation of mental health sector leaders.
