The Social Resource Centres provide a place for individuals who live with mental illness to gather, to build new relationships, enjoy recreational activities, and have a place where they know they belong.
The Social Resource Centres (SRC)
are community-based programs that facilitate the recovery of individuals who live with mental illness living in Toronto by providing opportunities for peer support, skills development and leadership. The SRCs offer an inclusive and supportive environment, allowing individuals to build new relationships and share mutual experiences with others, which promote a sense of belonging. Through workshops and activities, which are facilitated by professionals and peers, consumers participate in social, cultural and recreational experiences, and learn new skills to live healthier lifestyles. We also offer WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) workshops on a regular basis, where participants learn to create an individualized plan to achieve and maintain recovery.
